Signature Sounds is proud to announce the release of the third album by
Northampton, Massachusett's fine folk/bluegrass band, Salamander
Crossing. Blending first rate songcraft with gorgeous vocal harmonies
and bluegrass instrumentation, Salamander Crossing has developed one of
the most unique sounds in acoustic music today. "Bottleneck Dreams" is
their most adventurous and alluring record yet.
Recorded in Nashville by renown Canadian producer Colin Linden (Bruce
Cockburn, Colin James), Bottleneck Dreams expands their stringband
instrumentation with touches of Hammond organ, accordion, electric &
steel guitars and more. Special guests include Tim OíBrien and The
Bandís keyboardist, Richard Bell.

The album includes a mix of fine originals and off the beaten track
covers including Greg Trooper's anthemic "Light In The Window, Blue
Rodeo's moody "5 Days In May" and David Hamburger's gorgeous "Indigo
Rose". This album spotlights vocalist and fiddler Rani Arbo, who emerges
as a unique song stylist.

The album is already drawing some rave reviews:

"Northamptonís Salamander Crossing may be the most promising young band
on the acoustic music scene today. They bring urbane sass and
sensibility to their unique bluegrass and old-time folk songs, and Rani
Arboís cool, blue alto is alluringly intimate" Boston Globe

"The groupís fluid blend of acoustic textures, gentle harmonies and
exquisite material converge splendidly here, making this their most
mature, and most satisfying work to date. This is genuine American
music, the real deal, played with passion and vision" **** Newhouse
News Service

ëScore one for the power of subtlety on the triumphant new release from
Salamander Crossing. Listen to the fragile beauty of Rani Arboís vocals
and youíll know youíre miles from run-of-the-mill bluegrass. ****
Advocate Newspapers

"One of the most exciting and refreshing bluegrass-based bands on the
scene today. What makes Salamander Crossing stand out is accomplished
songwriting and amazing vocal harmonies." Album Network

"New Englandís premier rootsy bluegrass band has delivered the album
that should elevate them into the big leaguesÖÖ a delicately balanced
set that stands up to the better work of Alison Krauss and Union
Station."
**** New Country Magazine
