Andrew McKnight's "mountain gumbo" of original songs simmered with folk,
blues, country, oldtime and pop seasonings makes for a fun evening of
entertainment. His intelligent lyrics, delicious instrumentation, and
clear and soothing vocals are as refreshing as a cool breeze from the
Shenandoah Valley he calls home. His dynamic and literate style of music,
deeply rooted in traditional themes with a contemporary, often invokes
comparisons with artists like John Mellencamp, John McCutcheon and Ricky
Skaggs.
