Went to see Joseph Parsons at the Folkus Productions final concert of the
season. Joseph was wonderful. Someone mentioned a show he did at the
Atlantic County Community College he did a few months back where the
sound system went out and he did the concert without any amplification and
pulled it off magnificently. I can see why now. He played two sets and
it was one of the best shows I've seen him do. He has incredible vocal
range and can be singing softly one moment and then really belt it out the
next. I would love to see him play without amplification again sometime.
If Joseph is ever in your area go see him. He is a wonderfully talented
musician. He recently got back from a successful tour of Europe. He has
a record out--called 5 a.m.--its great! He also has a website--just do a
search for Joseph Parsons. For anyone in the Jersey area, he'll be at the
Appel Farms Festival on June 6. Check his set out if you go.

And thanks to Jodi & Paula--who run the house concerts. You do a
wonderful job. I am glad that I have gotten to three shows this past
season. Jodi heard me mention I like Karen Savoca on Dar Williams list
and wrote to the llist to tell me about a house concert she was having
with Karen. I also got to see Jim Infantino for the first time thru going
to the house concert. Then this incredible performance by Joseph Parsons.
I have not only gotten to experience some great music in such a great
setting but I have had the opportunity to meet new friends by going. I am
really happy to have gotten to know everyone!!! See ya at the folk
festivals this summer.
