I've been wanting to let everyone know about a project that I'm incredibly
excited about. It's a new Kate Wolf tribute album but together by Nina
Gerber. It is a project that Nina has been working for 2 years and will be
released on Red House Records, probably in August. If you're not familiar
with Kate Wolf and her music, check out www.katewolf.com. Nina premiered a
lot of this material on KRCB-FM a couple months ago (on Cloud Moss's show,
Cloud is the promoter of the Kate Wolf Memorial Music Festival -
http://www.monitor.net/kate ), and she was guest DJ on our folk show this
past Saturday and played 10 cuts. It is really well done. It's worth the
price of admission just to hear Greg Brown & Ferron doing a totally
countryfied version of "Tequilia & Me"! Actually, Nina told me she didn't
really like that song before their version.

Nina (with help from Bob Feldman from Red House Records) has done a
tremendous job getting all of these people together and having some of the
finest in the folk world sing Kate's songs.
If you love Kate Wolf's music, you are in for a major treat!!! and if you
don't know Kate's music, you're in for a major treat as well....
