Greg Brown indeed _was_ Red House Records when he self-released his
first two albums circa 1980. He was living in a red house near Iowa City,
Iowa; hence, the name. He joined forces with Bob Feldman in 1983,
re-released those first two albums, and the rest, as they say, is history.
Greg released his 13th album on Red House, _Slant 6 Mind_, in 1997. Keep
an eye out for it in the indie award nominations. He also released a
grammy-nominated album with Bill Morrissey, _Friend of Mine_, on Philo.
