Greetings,

There's a lot going on at NOMA and with our artists, as always. Paul (the
Perfesser) just moved into a new office in Nashville. His e-mail address
remains the same: <perfessr@songs.com>.

I looked at the back issues of f_m digest and didn't find a full listing of
the Kerrville New Folk Winners, so I want to congratulate all six winners
who were chosen from among 32 finalists. Web addresses are listed for the
four NOMA artists:

Cindy Greene <http://songs.com/cindy>
Dave Carter <http://songs.com/davecarter>
Jacquie Manning (of Small Potatoes) <http://songs.com/folkera>
Greg Beattie (of Calaveras) <http://songs.com/calaveras>
Mike Brandon
Susan Clark

We welcomed two artists in our most recent newsletter, Wendy Bucklew and
Michael Veitch.

An active artist in the Atlanta music scene, WENDY BUCKLEW has been
compared to "Joni Mitchell meets Janis Joplin in the '90s." For her brand
new album, "Asleep in the Swing," Wendy teamed up again with
Producer/Engineer DeDe Vogt and Engineer Jim Zumpano. Dede's bass-lines and
drummer Jason Mogi weave a tight thread throughout the album. Check out the
sound samples at:

MICHAEL VEITCH (pronounced Veech) has a voice that's been compared to
Matthew Sweet's, and he has a sure-handed guitar style. Michael's music is
topical, focusing on such issues as environmental justice and religion to
love lost and found. "In addition to being a topical songwriter, Michael
Veitch has to his credit the gift of writing some really great personal
songs. . . For me, Michael passes the ultimate test of any performer -- he
moves me." (Shawn Colvin) Listen to a three-song mini-sampler from
Michael's new CD, "NY Journal," including the song "Anybody But You" with
Shawn Colvin at:

Check out the Etch-a-Sketch drawings on MICHAEL McNEVIN's pages then follow
the links at the bottom of his homepage to the Etch-a-Sketch Web site which
features some of his drawings as well. Also, follow a link to Michael's
Napkin Literature, his notes from the road.

Finally, SALLY FINGERETT's fourth solo CD, "My Good Company" (Shanachie),
will be released in August. Sally performs all original songs which include
one she co-wrote with Tom Paxton. Sally also performs a duet with JANIS
IAN and another with Jonathan Edwards. She'll tour in the fall to support
the album.

Enjoy the music!
