About George Wurzbach:

George Wurzbach has worked as a sideman and session player for artists
including Johnny Cash and Kathy Mattea, and is the author of "Country Riffs
for Piano" published by Hal Leonard. As a singer/songwriter his performance
at the Kerrville Folk Festival earned him the 1995 New Folk Award and has
since been selected to perform at the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival New Artist
Showcase. He has appeared with Tom Paxton, David Buskin, Jonathan Edwards,
Oscar Brand, Peter Yarrow, The Red Clay Ramblers, and many others - some of
whom have become fruitful co-writers. His debut CD "Not Pictured" is now
available and was featured in the Performing Songwriter magazine Top 12
Independent Recordings series.

"George Wurzbach .......has a sharp eye to observe and get the details
right, a great ear for the thoughts and voices of his characters, and a sly
wit. But unlike a lot of deep thinkers, he isn't "groove-allergic" so you
can tap your toes."
- David Buskin

Jen and Carl asked me to pick the entertainment for their first show and I
immediately thought of George. His CD made my top ten list last year and
his versatility as a songwriter never ceases to amaze me. Sometimes I'm
laughing, sometimes I'm crying; but his songs always make me feel
something. He's also a great piano player. If you haven't seen him live,
you need to. If you have seen him, I know that you'll be there.

The Peltons are my primary extended family and it's a thrill to share them
with you folks. I look forward to seeing you there!

Alan
