The Heartbeats broke up about 12-18 months ago. Tara Nevins devotes
full-time to her alternative band Donna the Buffalo (new release on
Sugar Hill), Beverly Smith has a trio (along w/ Bruce Molsky & Rafe
Stefanini) called Big Hoedown that plays southern old-time music (new
release on Rounder), June Drucker plays bass w/ various acts. I'm not
sure what Rose Sinclair is up to, but I imagine she's playing oldtime
and cajun music somewhere in the Northeast. They were a great band.
