I noticed that there was a little discussion of MiniDisc recorders on the
list while I was in Kerrville. I actually just bought another one while I
was down there for the festival. It's a refurbished MZR-30 and it was only
$199. They also had MZR-3's, MZR-2's, TCD-D8 DATs and a whole bunch of the
home MiniDisc recorders, all at low prices. They don't do mail order from
the outlet store, and the Sony Online Outlet only seemed to have computers
and peripherals (and a digital camera or two...) But you may find MiniDisc
products in any of the Sony Outlet stores, You can find the locations on
their WWW page at: http://www.ita.sel.sony.com/factory_outlet/locations.html

I've been into MiniDisc for several years and have been very pleased with
the sound, the durability, and the flexiblity of the equipment.

hope this helps,
Alan
