"The Water is Wide..."

The "best" version I think I've ever heard of "The Water is Wide" was
recorded by Fred Neil on an incredible album called "Bleeker and McDougal"
from the late '60s. Then, again, Neil's version of almost anything would be
the best you could hear. So, does anybody know what ever happened to him????
