I must apologize to everyone for not sending out the mailing yet for the 4th
Annual Northeast Regional Folk Alliance Conference which will be happening
again at Split Rock Resort and Conference Center in the Pocono Mountains of
Pennsylvania on November 13, 14, 15, 1998.
We had quite a year this past year - and things are running a
little late. As most of you know, I had foot reconstruction surgery just
before Memphis - and I can't believe how exhausting it has been recovering
from that. But, I am please to say that I am now walking around again. I also
run the Spring Thing for the Philadelphia Folksong Society. OUr office
secretary of many years just left a couple months ago and the person hired to
replace her - as expected - has a lot to learn and a lot of catching up to do.
Since he is so overwhelmed right now, I have had no choice but to do all the
computer imputting and other busy work myself - things that are usually done
by our office help. Therefore, I will not be able to get the NE Regional
mailing out til after the Thing - which is Memorial Day weekend -- sorry, for
the delay.
But, worry not, no one has missed any showcase deadlines - cause
they haven't even been set yet. All deadlines will be adjusted accordingly.
I really hope this delay isn't causing any problems for anyone.
