If you have never seen Sweet Honey in the Rock perform, you are missing
something great. The next best thing, however, is the new(?) album
called "Selections" that is a compilation of past and previously
unreleased works. I hadn't been aware of this album, but noticed it at
the concert in Philadelphia recently. I'm listening to it as I type. :^)

Sweet Honey is a group of African-American women who sing A Capella
versions of traditional, gospel, and original compositions. Their
performances have the ability to draw the entire audience into the
performance. This album comes from previous recordings on both Flying
Fish and Redwood Records. It is a double disc album selling for the
price of a single disc!

It has two previously unreleased tracks, and several of the tracks have
been remixed, most of them by Bob Dawson, who has recorded many of
Cheryl Wheeler's albums. (Yes, I can find a reference to Cheryl in
most anything. :^)
