Kaustenin (Finland) Folk Music Festival

Each year in Northern Finland there is a folk music festival at
Kaustenin. The following site has all the details:

This year's dates are 18-26 July. I'm considering attending for part of
the event, and then going on to Falcon Ridge from 24-26 July.

Has anyone on this list attended Kaustenin recently, in the past 5-6
years? If so, what was your impressions? Also, would anyone know of
cheap air fares that could get me from San Diego to Helsinki, then to
NYC or Albany and back to SAN?

I once attended Kaustenin many, many years ago and still have vivid,
wonderful memories of folk costumed violinists and Russian dancers. It
was a blast!
