Personally, I can say I bought quite a few based on sampler CDs. John Gorka,
Cheryl Wheeler, Christine Lavin, Patty Larkin all come to mind. In fact
there was the yet unreleased "Sparrows Point" from Richard Shindell which I
bought as soon as it came out. I can really give Christine Lavin credit for
that find. Most, if not all of those "finds" either came from, or were
indirectly linked to the "When October Goes" compilation. The "Winter's
Night Tour" didn't hurt either.
