I know The D.M. Collection isn't a new cd, but I've just heard
it for the first time, and I'm loving it. It includes songs from
1983 to 1994. I got it for Caledonia, which is a gorgeous song, but
at a first run through I also especially like Singing Land and This
Love Will Carry.

In other news, I had a chance to hear Peter Mulvey at Outpost in the
Burbs, in Montclair, NJ last week. Outpost is a great venue at
First Congregational Church in Montclair. LisaBeth Weber opened the
show with a short but entertaining set. (She even invited us to sing
along, and we were good!)

The show was in the smaller room, which seats 130; small enough to
feel intimate, but large enough to provide a good crowd for Peter,
who really responds to an enthusiastic audience (who doesn't?). It
was a great show; lots of familiar music, lots of new stuff. After
an especially rousing finish (The Whole of the Moon, I think), the mc
feared that Peter couldn't top it for an encore, but he came back
for a beautiful instrumental version of Imagine. Mmmm. Good Night.

Catch Peter Mulvey if he's near you, and visit the Outpost if you're
in NJ!

And happy holy days to all who are observing them this week.
